Starting a wiccan path

I’m sorry, but I’m so irritated by those people who don’t even bother to read some basical wiccan books (Cunningham at least) when they decide to practice Wicca. And these people start with questions like “how to built an altar”, “how to create a magic circle”, “how to say a spell” without going into a bit of theoretical knowledge!
What’s the point of thoughtlessly learning by heart different magical correspondences (like “green” is for “money”, “Friday” is for “love”)? What’s the point of remembering facts without knowing the prehistory of it?
If you REALLY want to study Wicca - stop asking questions “HOW?”. Start asking questions “WHY?”. Start not with just putting instruments in “right” order on the altar (what is “right”, by the way?), but with the meaning of Wicca, with its purpose, with your own aims in this spiritual practice. Start with not saying obscure words, but with studying mythology, asking yourself what is it to be a wiccan. Saying honestly, it will take a lot of time of learning before performing your first intelligent ritual.
And after that you will FEEL “how”.
